Do Day Goodie Bags

Project: Do Day 15/04/2011
Brief: Communication is a Virus. University
Date: April 2011

After the first Do Day turned out to be successful, a second Do Day was arranged, which was based at the Papergirl Leeds Exhibition. For this a little 'goodie bag' was put together to give out to anyone who wanted to get involved.

Most popular blogging website?

Trying to find/work out which is the most popular (but also the best) blogging website to use is turning out to be a difficult process. I need to know this for an upcoming collab project I have in the works with a fellow student. Should be good.

So I recently started working on putting together a website for an awesome hair salon Pink Hair Studio. After previously working for the salon, I am glad to do more for them. The website it just the initial start, and needs a lot adding to it. I am happy with the stage I am at with it.. Well I was until I tried loading the site on a PC and it just completely doesn't work. Quick Update

I haven't posted anything for so long due to the fact Uni has been hecktic. However, after completing the last module yesterday, today I am already itching to start something new. Just a few actual days of Uni left until the summer and I will be sure to filling out my time as creatively as possible.

Also, I am adding a new page to the blog where I will put links out to any useful blogs/websites I will probably want to use again as some point as inspiration so I thought I would share them too! So keep watching that space.

Image Sequence

After researching image sequences for a particular University task, we then had to go on and produce one ourselves. After this session I went for a pint (or 4), and figured what a great opportunity it would be for an interesting(ish) sequence.

Customised Alphabet

Project: Customised Alphabet
Brief: University Summer Brief
Date: August 2010
Online: www.sarahpritchard.co.uk

Alphabet designer to represent me as a person: who I am, what I do, where I'm from, etc..

I used each of the letters that spell out my name to show the physical aspect of me that people usually see; such as things I wear or have with me. I showed this by incorporating illustrated images of them on to the letters. I then used the remainder of the letters to communicate different things about me, such as where I'm from, words I say, etc. I kept these designs more simple by just using words/symbols within the letters so that there is a clear distinction between them. I hand drew each of the letter designs to represent the fact that I am hand made by myself and I am who I want to be, not what someone else has made.

I used a series of colours then with the designs to show the fact that I am bright and creative. For the background, I used a selection of photos of people and places I have been. Then, using a bokeh style I made them look work to represent that they are timeless memories, and presented each of the designs to look like a series of polaroid pictures.
